Dr. Preston York – The Spare | St. Jude's Medical Series Bookmark

Preston York has heard all the jokes about the second son. He wrote most of them.

He calls himself "The Spare" so nobody else gets the chance. He ties cashmere sweaters around his neck on purpose. He wears Gucci loafers into a trauma bay and will not be taking questions about it. In a family of neurosurgeons and medical geniuses, Preston has made a career of being the most entertaining person in any room. It's a lot of work, and he makes it look easy.

What people miss, at least at first, is that he's very good at this. He can get a patient to eat when nobody else can. He can talk a billionaire off a ledge using nothing but flattery. He doesn't diagnose hearts or brains. He diagnoses people.

Then there's Luke Silva, the Chief Resident who took one look at Preston and filed him under "decorative." Preston has some feelings about that. Most of them are not professional.

Keep him in your book. He'll hold your page, and he'll have an opinion about your bookmark choices. (They're excellent. Obviously.)

Pairs with the Dr. Luke Silva bookmark. Preston would like it noted that he is the better-dressed half.
